This website is hosted with STRATO AG, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. Delivery takes place from data centres in Germany. When the website is accessed, the hosting provider processes technically necessary access data (e.g. IP address, date and time of access, page accessed, amount of data transferred, browser type) in server log files. This is required for the secure and stable provision of the website. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a technically error-free operation (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). A data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR) is in place with the provider.
You have the right at any time to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing (Art. 21). You may revoke any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority – the authority responsible for us is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia.
If you contact us by phone, email or via the enquiry form, we process the data you provide (e.g. name, contact details, desired travel period, message) in order to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (initiation/performance of a contractual relationship) or (f) (legitimate interest in answering your enquiry). The data are deleted as soon as they are no longer required for the purpose and no statutory retention obligations prevent this.
The enquiry form on the "Prices & Booking" page is processed by a script on our own web space and sent to us by email. Your details are not stored on the server, and no third-party form service is integrated. To protect against automated submissions, the form contains a hidden field that only programs fill in; your usage behaviour is not analysed.
This website uses only fonts stored locally on the server (Fraunces). When the fonts are loaded, no connections to third-party servers (such as Google Fonts) are established and no data is transmitted to third parties.
On the "Prices & Booking" page, a calendar shows the free and booked periods. The availability data are loaded via the Google Calendar API from a Google calendar set to public "free/busy only" (provider: Google Ireland Limited). Only time periods (no personal data of guests) are processed. When the calendar data are loaded, your IP address is transmitted to Google. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in displaying current availability (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).
When using Google services, data may be transferred to the USA. Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; in addition, the EU Commission's standard contractual clauses serve as appropriate safeguards for transfers.
This website is delivered using SSL/TLS encryption for the security of your transmission (recognisable by the "https://" in the address bar).
